Now the Boring Stuff........
CertaPro Painters is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, be proficient in QuickBooks, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. As an integral part of our finance department, the Accountant/Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and efficient financial operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks software.
2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
3. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
4. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
5. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
6. Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections to ensure the company's financial stability.
7. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
8. Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial guidance as needed.
10. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
11. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA certification preferred but not required.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably in the construction industry.
4. Proficiency in QuickBooks software is a must.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
